DA-SPACE Open Innovation to Raise Entrepreneurship Skills and Public Private Partnership in Danube Region
STU OI Lab - Slovakia
The STU Open Innovation Lab (OI Lab) is located in the modern building of the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technology (FIIT), Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU), in the Mlynska dolina campus. FIIT is one of the seven faculties of the STU covering the very area of informatics and information technologies (IIT) in both research and education being the first faculty in the Slovak Republic with such a mission. It provides top education in major fields of informatics, focusing on informatics and communication technologies at bachelor, master and doctoral levels, and conducts state-of-the-art research and development. The research focuses on the following areas: Data Analysis, Information Processing: Spreading and Privacy, Intelligent Methods of Information Processing, Knowledge Acquisition and Discovery, Representing and Reusing Software Knowledge, Software Comprehension and Quality, Communication Networks, Information and Cyber Security, Embedded Systems, and Computer Vision and Computer Graphics.
The OI Lab is within easy reach by buses or trams from the centre of Bratislava. In the same building as the STU OI lab there is a network of 22 analytical, diagnostic and technological laboratories providing expertise based on the main research work of the faculty, such as Digital Systems Design Lab, Edgar Codd Big Data Lab, CISCO Networking Academy Lab, Douglas Engelbart UX Lab or 3D Software Design Lab. The FIIT building is close to the buildings of the STU Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics and Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics of the Comenius University and its Science Park.
The students and young talents (solvers) work in the lab on the following challenges:

· Smart purchasing through recommendation facility in e-commerce
· Design of the Musical Operating Device for getting a traveler feedback
· Portal for higher quality of investment decisions

· Intelligent parking system - solution to city challenges
