TUS OI Lab - Bulgaria
DA-SPACE Open Innovation Lab Bulgaria is located in the building of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Sofia (TUS) – Building number 4 – in the center of the university campus and close to the University Library and the Student Centre. The campus itself is not that close to the city center, but it is easily accessible by bus and subway. Also, the lab's work is supported by GIS Innovative Transfer Centre.
Today's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is one of the main successors of the Machine Faculty at the State Polytechnics, which was established in 1945. It prepares engineers in the Bachelor's degree in "Mechanical Engineering", "Mechatronics", "Engineering Design" and "Engineering Logistics", as well as Master's degree in "Mechanical and Instrument Engineering", "Mechatronics", "Engineering Design", "Engineering Logistics", "Technical Legislation and Quality Management", "Metrology and Measuring Equipment" and "Design of Innovative Engineering Products".

- Measurement of micro-hardness of engineering non-metal composite materials
