eDigiStars - LABEL TOOL

02-06-2021

eDigiStars ecosystem consists of three special tools, developed to achieve the project objectives – POWERYOU, CAMPUS and LABEL.

Today we will look at the third tool, called LABEL.

As the name hints, this tool will certify those who demonstrate enough digital skills during the courses. Therefore, it is clear that CAMPUS and LABEL are very closely linked. In order to define the targeted competence levels you need to know which skills and competences are developed specifically within the eDigiStars CAMPUS training programme. The eDigiStars LABEL will then serve as proof for their acquirement of a higher-level set of skills.

For Labelling eDigiStars relies on a sustainable certification system, which is adapted to the specific national requirements of the different partner countries, as territorial differences and specifications are precisely considered. A sustainable certificate requires a reliable and well-established training provider, confirmation by a recognised institute, cooperation with labour office, chamber of commerce and advisory group members, insurance of sustainable financing.

It is important to highlight, that we reference our project tools to the Digital Competence Framework 2.0 of the EU, which helps us with the assessment of the start and target level of digital skills. We do our best to pay attention to very high-quality criteria when selecting the training institute and the training course in order to be well recognised by the industry and keep up with the trends of 21th century. It is important for us to ensure that both the selected training courses and the certifications are adapted to the needs of the 50+ target group as documented in POWERYOU.

eDigiStars emphasizes on a close cooperation with the industry and getting a clear idea of the demands of the industry, which is essential for high quality training and certificates. A regular dialogue between all involved partners and stakeholders, such as hiring companies, policy makers, training providers, labour offices is crucial.

The project aims to create awareness among the companies that this programme is beneficial for them and through their involvement they can be “designer” of the programme.

Our partners keep working constantly on the development of eDigiStars ecosystem, in order to make it as useful and effective as possible.

Because we believe that the digital world is a possibility for professional development of middle-aged and elderly people.
