GRENDEL - Save the date! Know-How Transfer Event on the Modernisation of the Danube fleet

28-02-2020

Hosted by the Danube Commission in Budapest on 1 April, the core objective of the event organised in the framework of the GRENDEL project in cooperation with the innovation centre INDanube, is to provide a platform for knowledge-transfer and information exchange on alternative fuels and technologies which have the potential to reach "near zero-emission" performance of IWT. Moreover, a set of specific challenges that go hand in hand with the strict requirements of the NRMM Regulation will be thoroughly discussed.

Considering the positive feedback following the previous editions as well as the need of the sector to be kept fully informed on the latest legislative and technological developments, the event will bring together inland vessel operators from the Danube Region with technology and innovation experts and suppliers. The Know-How Transfer Event will furthermore provide additional insights into digitalisation aspects and the expected funding and financing schemes of the upcoming Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027.

Based on the present situation due to spreading of the coronavirus and measures taken by European governments and private entities, we decided to postpone the Know-how transfer event on the modernisation of Danube vessels originally planned on 01 April 2020 to 29 September 2020.

Programme co-funded by European Union funds (ERDF, IPA, ENI)
