Monitoring Committee Approves Second Call for Proposals and Seed Money Facility

27-10-2023

The Monitoring Committee (MC) of the Interreg Danube Region Programme met in Vienna, Austria on October 18-19, 2023, to deliberate on matters concerning the implementation of the programme. Among the most important decisions reached during the meeting, the committee granted approval for the launch of the second call for proposals, scheduled for November 2, 2023.

For the forthcoming second call for proposals, a total of 43.9 million euros will be allocated. Specific objectives 1.1, 1.2, and 2.1 will be closed.

In addition to launching of the second call for proposals, the Monitoring Committee gave the green light to the Seed Money Facility, set to open on November 27, 2023. The Seed Money Facility aims to kickstart innovative ideas and facilitate project development, preparing projects that can later access funding from other EU funding schemes, ultimately contributing to the programme's broader objectives.

The Monitoring Committee's meeting addressed several other essential points, including the conclusion of the Danube Transnational Programme (DTP) and the future plans for enhancing the programme's monitoring system, known as Jems.

The decisions made by the MC open doors to new opportunities for cooperation, and we eagerly anticipate what lies ahead!
