On Monday, June 26, 2017, in the Hotel "Vojvodina" in Zrenjanin (Republic of Serbia), RDA Banat held the second National Meeting of Representatives of Stakeholders within the project “Eco-innovatively connected Danube Region - Ecoinn Danube“(Danube transnational program). The topic of the meeting was energy efficiency and environmental protection from the aspect of regional development, and the meeting was attended by a large number of representatives of the regional development actors in Serbia. After a brief presentation of the project, the participants analyzed the existing situation and concluded that Serbia belongs to underdeveloped countries with low standards of population, but at the same time with a clear need for eco-innovations and "green" technologies, and it is necessary to create an environment that will encourage Ecologically oriented research and development, and thus cooperation between science and business. During the meeting was conducted a quality and comprehensive discussion in which the participants identified a number of common recommendations to overcome the current situation.
