Danube Cycle Plans - Danube Cycle Plans at THE PEP Steering Committee Meeting

The results of the DCP Interreg project (DCP) were presented by Robert Thaler, Member of THE Bureau and former Chair of THE PEP, Head of Department Active Mobility and Mobility Management in the Austrian Federal Ministry of Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology. Mr Thaler informed THE PEP Steering Committee at its 20th session in Geneva, October 17th-19th, 2022 about the successful results of DCP Interreg project presented at the Final Conference in Prague with the Czech Minister of Transport under the auspices of the Czech Presidency of the EU Council. All participating Member States elaborated new or developed further existing national plans or strategies for the promotion of cycling within this project.

The Danube Cycle Plans project was acknowledged as a role model of how countries can work together and be supported by EU Interreg projects in implementing the recommendations of the pan-European Master Plan for Cycling Promotion.
