Danube´s Archaeological eLandscapes - Closing event and the awarding of the Council of Europe certificate to the Iron Age Danube

The Danube project Archaeological eLandscapes, which breaks new ground in the digitization and digital visualization of the archaeological heritage, received a special honour in a festive ceremony during the closure event with the partners of the project.


On November 3rd and 4th, the partners of the project met for the last time together with their guests for a closing event in Zagreb. A highlight was the awarding of the Council of Europe certificate to the Iron Age Danube route.
The Iron Age Danube Route Certificate was awarded at a ceremony at Dverce Palace on 3 November 2022. Mr Stefano Dominioni, Director of the European Institute for Cultural Routes/Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme presented the certificate.


The ceremony was attended by Ms Nina Obuljen Koržinek, Minister of Culture and Media; Ms Laura Topolovšek, Assistant to the Head of the Municipal Office for Culture, International Relations and Civil Society; Ms Marta Fazekas, Program Director of the Hungarian Tourism Agency, as well as numerous distinguished guests from all partner countries.

A public presentation of the project results took place on the next day, November 4th, in the Gallery of the Archaeological Museum in Zagreb. In addition to the DanubesArchaeological eLandscapes project, the results of two other projects of the Interreg Danube's Transnational Program dealing with the archaeological heritage of the region were also presented.
