JOINTISZA - Busy days ahead: series of project meetings - charting a course for the Tisza

Next week will bring together in Szolnok, Hungary, all the JOINTISZA project partners for project management meetings and for training seminars on stakeholder involvement approaches.

The series of meetings will kick-off with the Project Management Unit Meeting on the morning of 26th of June. The Project Management Unit, as a management team will reflect upon the implementation of the first 6 months of the project and discuss upcoming activities, including reporting requirements.

This will be followed in the afternoon, by the JOINTISZA 1st Steering Committee Meeting, having the main objective to oversee the effectiveness and quality of the implementation of the JOINTISZA project.

Back-to back, “Train the planners” Seminar and Shared Vision Planning Methodology Seminar will be organized by the Lead Partner, OVF and WWF Hungary, as follows:  

  • 27 - 28 June, 2017 - Train the planners seminar
  • 28 - 29 June, 2017 - Shared Vision Planning Training

Targeting the planning experts of the project team from the five Tisza basin countries, the seminars will cover the basics of effective public involvement in water management decisions and its methodologies and will help the planning process and preparation of the Integrated Tisza River Basin Management Plan.

The JOINTISZA project is happy to join to the international Danube Day 2017 celebrations through this string of project events and to pay tribute to the Danube and the rivers that flow into it. The Tisza River is the longest tributary of the Danube and the largest sub-basin of the Danube basin.
