A presentation of the Interreg project "DANOVA: Innovative Transportation Services for Blind and Partially Sighted Passengers in the Danube Region" was held on October 19, 2022,at Sarajevo International Airport (IPA PP3-MAS).

On this occasion, PP3-MAS project team presented their pilot actions that consisted of the installation of the tactile walking surface indicators and guide lines at Sarajevo International Airport, as well as the modernisation of the official website. However, Sarajevo International Airport is also undergoing some construction works so the good practices identified throughout the DANOVA project will be implemented in the future.

As the goal of the DANOVA project is to improve the accessibility of airports, ports and railway/bus stations by developing new services and competencies that will enable passengers with visual impairments to have full access to all information and services related to transportation, PP3-MAS made a huge step towards achieving this, in particular, thanks to the implementation of the training on the right approach and communication with the blind and partially sighted passengers.
