An event organised as Final Conference of the GoDanuBio project (Danube Transnational Programme) with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia.
The Serbian Government has been progressing on circular economy policies since 2020 to promote a national economy more efficient with the use of resources and better aligned with the European Green Deal. Next to that, there are already good examples of European countries and regions phasing the development of the bioeconomy in their circular economy frameworks. In this regard, the untapped potential of agricultural marginal land and food processing side streams of the Serbian agri-food sector could get closer to the market opportunities that the (bio)circular approach is already offering.
High-level policy representatives and panelists will deepen on the weight of the bioeconomy in the current policy process and its role towards a revitalized rural development in Serbia. The agenda also highlights the contribution of the 2.5 year-long GoDanuBio project on this remit, as well as its positive impact in the culture of participative governance across the Danube territories.
This event is mainly targeted to national and regional administrations, regional development agencies, clusters, companies, SMES, academia, media and citizens.

Best practices will set the scene for further discussion through panels and experts. The agenda brings also insights on resilient bio-based value chains and good practices from the supply-side.
