The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI), Brno branch, has reported the successful application of the SIMONA Sampling Kit 'Suspended Sediment Barrel System' (pump and water tank system) in their routine sampling campaign, together with the ADCP measurements in order to assess the amount of suspended sediment in the river profile. In addition, CHI demonstrated the SIMONA Kit at the Science Festival held in the Brno Exhibition Centre. People were interested in the different types of sediment samplers including the Baia Mare handheld sediment sampler.
