CINEMA - Romanian Pilot location wins New European Bauhaus support

19-07-2022

Great news: Our Romanian Pilot Location in Resita, the Hala Minda, which converses a former industrial site into a space for the community and the creative industries, is among the 20 winners of the competitive call of the New European Bauhaus (NEB). Through this call, financial support aims to inspire transformative projects to foster the three complementary values of the NEB in daily lives, living spaces and experiences: Sustainability, Aesthetics and Inclusion. It is funded by the EU through the Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy and implemented in collaboration with Ramboll Management Consulting. Resita's dynamic urban regeneration envisions a green and vibrant city by 2030, by treasuring the 250 years of metal industry inheritance. The aim is to develop a makerspace, a practical learning space in metal processing, both for students attending dual school, but also for local companies. The space is also intended to become an exhibition centre for metal works, a social public space open for the entire local community.

Programme co-funded by European Union funds (ERDF, IPA, ENI)
