ISTER - 1st regional ISTER-Workshop in East Württemberg, May 3rd, Buch (Rainau, Germany)

25-05-2022

On May 3rd, the 1st regional ISTER workshop on the subject of "Roman heritage as a factor in local and regional tourism development in East Württemberg" took place in the village hall in Buch (Rainau, Germany). In the course of the workshop, the project partner from the Regional planning authority of East Württemberg presented the ISTER project and its potential and possibilities for regional and cross-border cooperation to the regional stakeholders and decision-makers from the districts of Ostalbkreis and Heidenheim. The participants of the workshop basically agreed that there is further untapped potential for the valorisation of the Roman heritage in the region, for example in relation to former Roman routes and roads. In the 2nd ISTER workshop, the participants will continue to discuss this fact and look for topics and areas in which concrete actions and projects could be implemented across districts.

Programme co-funded by European Union funds (ERDF, IPA, ENI)
