SABRINA - THE 4th STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING WAS HELD IN HUNGARY

17-05-2022

After almost two years of online meetings and conferences, the SABRINA project consortium met in person. The 4th Steering Committee meeting took place on 12 and 13 May 2022 in Szombathely, Hungary. It was hosted by our Hungarian partner West Pannon Team and the lead partner, the European Institute of Road Assessment. The in-person meeting offered a great opportunity to discuss SABRINA’s achievements so far and the way forward to the final outputs and results.

The first day of the meeting was dedicated to the implementation work packages. Special attention was given to the expected final results of our EuroVelo bicycle routes safety inspections (done in Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Bulgaria, Romania, Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary) and the work done on the way to Safer Cycle Routes Tool, expected later this year when it will be also piloted in different countries. Soon also the 31 fact sheets and best practice analysis reports will be available in printed format.

The majority of the second day was dedicated to the workshop focusing on the results of the bicycle routes safety inspections. The two-day meeting was wrapped up with an overview of the management and communications work and a plan for our final conference and other promotional events. Given that the SABRINA project will soon enter its final stage of implementation, a lot of results and outputs are expected in the next months. So, stay tuned, read our webpage and follow us on social media – Facebook and Twitter.
