DANOVA - SECOND STAKEHOLDER WORKSHOP ORGANIZED BY PP2-TUM

On April 21, 2022, the DANOVA project team from the Technical University of Moldova (PP2-TUM), in cooperation with the Association of the Blind in Moldova organized the 2nd Stakeholder workshop in a form of a seminar for the students of the Urban Planning and Architecture Faculty of TUM, in which they were acquainted with the principles of Universal Design - an international concept adopted for designing a built environment, accessible, understood and used by all people, regardless of age, ability or disability.

Students learned how to design industrial and civil buildings, recreational areas, airport, trains, buses, and other transportation facilities, which need to be adapted to the needs of people with disabilities and in particular, for blind and partially sighted passengers.

In the seminar participated the expert in human rights, speakers from the Low Vision Center and Moldavian Association of the Blind.

Over 100 future architects and designers, urban planners and road and street designers expressed interest and participated in this event, bringing added value to DANOVA project and the improvement of the accessibility of transportation facilities for blind and partially sighted passengers.
