On March 14, 2022, PP13-MAS, Sarajevo International Airport, held its second stakeholder workshop in the framework of the DANOVA project. On this occasion, PP13-MAS representative presented pilot action plan of implementation of tactile walking surfaces and activities related to the update of Sarajevo International Airport web site, as well as Internal report on selected ideas, and catalogue of best practices.

The workshop attended representatives of the Association of the Blind of Sarajevo Canton, Association of the Blind of Republika Srpska, Faculty of Transport and Communications, Sarajevo International Airport, Eye Clinic “Svjetlost” and Centrotrans – bus transport provider.

The attendees, i.e. representatives of the Association of the Blind of Sarajevo Canton and Association of the Blind of Republika Srpska emphasized that projects for blind and partially sighted persons are extremely important but there is no systemic approach related to the problems of this specific group. As the main problem, they pointed out the lack of adequate infrastructure in land transport, especially public tram and train transport.
