Gluten free products registry is one of the CD SKILLS pilot projects, which met great interest of celiac patients who are challenging lack of food information on a daily basis.

The challenge was also setting up the gluten free products registry as part of the CD SKILLS project. Technologically, setting up the database and web applications for data administration and data search/view have been easily decided and excellently performed by our service provider, with user friendly interfaces and responsive design which enables use on mobile devices. However, the hard part was to decide which information to enroll, how to gather relevant food information and how to standardize data entry and data maintenance.

Those are all the topics that interest a group of students and parents of children with coeliac disease, who already had some experience with Gluten free products applications, gathered by the Bulgarian Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, one of the projects associated partner. On this initiative CeliVita-Living with celiac disease representative, one of the project partners involved in the Pilot, presented Gluten free registry and discussed issues, lessons learned and further strategy which will help registry stay alive, up to date and of use to the people with celiac disease.
