STRIDE - Training – Smart Communities

This March, representatives from 13 municipalities of the Spodnje Podravje region in Slovenia participated at the first round of STRIDE trainings, bringing together total of 22 participants eager to learn about the future smart energy planning in their municipalities. The training was hosted by STRIDE Lead Partner, Local Energy Agency Spodnje Podravje (LEASP).

During the STRIDE training, participants were educated about the ongoing energy transition and what this requires, all in the realm of smart grid planning and its benefits, as well as energy polices currently being implemented at the European level. Participants were encouraged to provide their feedback into the development of the smart grid strategy and action plan within the STRIDE project, as the first draft of these strategic documents were previously shared with them.

LEASP was supported by Iskratel, a company providing and connecting, intelligent OT (operational technology) devices and business IT systems, empowering smart grid with innovative applications. Also presented were innovative solutions and technology needed for creation smart energy communities and smart grids.

 

The next series of trainings will follow in April 2022.
