ISTER - Second local capacity building workshop in Ljubljana, Slovenia

On February 11, the City Museum of Ljubljana held the second local capacity building workshop as part of the ISTER project with the representatives of local community stakeholders.

In the Conference room, 11 participants were introduced to the ISTER project and the results of the first workshop. During the workshop, three lectures were presented focusing on Roman roads in Slovenia, communication and presentation of the Roman culture to the public. Archaeological points – tracing the past of Vrhnika were also given. After lectures, an open discussion was held on mapping needs and gaps concerning the protection and valorization of Roman Heritage in Slovenia.

Representatives of the City Museum of Ljubljana presented the concept behind the milestones. Together with participants decision was made on the material and location of the milestones in Slovenia. Before closure, all the participants completed the survey of Rethinking priorites for the policy and regulatory framework.

The workshop ended with participants exchanging ideas on how projects like these could help networking and share experiences.
