One big part of the CINEMA project is to develop tools and concepts to strengthen the innovation process between the Creative Industries (CI) and urban economies. One particularly useful tool for CI support centers will be implemented by our Serbian project partners, the City of Sombor and the Regional Development Agency Backa. It gives an overview of funding programmes for creatives and will be used e.g. to help with the application process, to better estimate the outcome in terms of cost-benefit calculations and ultimately to motivate young creatives to apply for public money which helps them found their business. This tool is an integrated part of a regional program that supports final beneficiaries in starting their new ventures. At an online training 13 participants from city governments in the Bačka region had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with this tool and to be able to pass the information along to their local creatives.
