DANOVA - Project meeting in Chisinau, Moldova (17. - 18. November 2021.)

On November 17-18, the Technical University of Moldova hosted the management meeting of the Interreg transnational project "DANOVA - Innovative transport services for blind and visually impaired passengers in the Danube Region".

The meeting took place in hybrid form, bringing together representatives of 14 partners from 9 countries and guests from central and local authorities, among others:

Mr.  Ilie CEBAN - Deputy Mayor of Chisinau,

Mr. Sergiu BEJAN - Director General of the State Road Administration,

Ms Daniela POJAR - Vice-Rector for Financial Affairs and International Relations, TUM,

Ms Natalia CARAUŞ - Head of Transnational and Cross-Border Programs Department,

Ms Diana GROSU-AXENTI - Deputy Director of the Office for the Management of External Assistance Programs,

Mr Dmitri NAVROŢCHI - Adviser to the General Director of "AviaInvest",

Mr. Nicolae CIOBANU - Senior Expert at the Association of the Blind Moldova,

Mr. Serghei CREŢU - International Relations Department, Civil Aeronautical Authority,

Mr. Ruslan BORDOS - Head of the Transport Infrastructure Engineering Department, FUA-TUM.

During the opening meeting on November 17, the partners presented the project, while the guests expressed their support and appreciation for the project activities and results, specifying that the topic under discussion is urgent and necessary, meant to attract the interest of society and government structures, with the aim of improving the accessibility of airports, ports, train and bus stations for the blind and partially sighted.

It was also mentioned that the creation of a new legislative framework is welcome - a transnational concept of transport services for the blind and visually impaired in the Danube Region.

During the two working days, each partner presented the activity report on different project-related topics, after which were set the subsequent objectives. Moreover,  the partners decided the composition of the jury for the Call for ideas, open until November 30th, 2021. To find out more about the Call for ideas, please check the following link:
