Final versions of „Guidelines for Ecosystem Services Based Ecotourism Strategy” and policy recommendations are available

 

In the last periods the preliminary version of the „Guidelines for Ecosystem Services Based Ecotourism Strategy” published in 2019 by the Corvinus University of Budapest, was used as the basis for the development of eco-tourism strategies in the EcoVeloTour partner regions. The experience gained from the feedback-rounds and from the use of the guidelines was collected by Corvinus University of Budapest and incorporated into a revised version. The objective of the document is to help tourism professionals develop effective and sustainable ecotourism/cycling tourism strategies. The final version of the “Guidelines for Ecosystem Services Based Ecotourism Strategy” can be free downloaded from the link below. A leaflet was also made in order to summarize the highlights in an edible way.

Also the documents „Policy recommendations on cycling tourism for the countries of the Danube region” and „Policy recommendations on ecotourism for the countries of the Danube region” have been completed by the experts of Corvinus University of Budapest in order to help develop strategies in areas where eco-and cycling tourism infrastructure and superstructure need to be improve. During the research work on cycling and ecotourism policy recommendations, policy documents at the national level were analyzed and a total of 14 in-depth expert interviews were conducted with the involvement of international project partners.
