EcoInn Danube - ECO-INNOVATION IN THE CENTRE OF ATTENTION OF STAKEHOLDERS

01-06-2017

Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information as coordinator of the project EcoInn Danube researched the current needs of stakeholders in the field of energy efficiency. The event held last week gathered together policy makers, representatives of academia, commercial sector as well as non-profit support organizations.

All attendees were informed about the activities and planned outcomes of the project and called upon to share their views on current most pressing issues, challenges in the field or on the contrary – indicate efforts that were successful and can be built upon.

The discussion brought besides the generally accepted opinions about the need of higher finance in science and research, ideas about necessity to spread best practices among general public or enhancement of promotion of SME eco solutions, which get less recognition then those of large companies. One of the ideas suggested was also to raise awareness not only targeted at the youngest generation, but at the draftsmen of future ecology and energetics. “We have to start building new generation that has access to trends. And that is the space also for this project,” admitted one of the participants of the event.
