31-05-2017

On 29 May 2017, the Danube Office Ulm/Neu-Ulm, as project partner of the EU-project “Transdanube.Pearls – Network for Sustainable Mobility along the Danube” organized the first regional workshop in Ulm.

Altogether 20 relevant stakeholders from the field of sustainable mobility and tourism attended the regional workshop, among them representatives from the municipalities of Ulm and Neu-Ulm, nature protection, bicycle and tourism associations and local transport services.

The first regional workshop focused on the presentation of the project Transdanube.Pearls, its goals, objectives and activities. The event provided the possibility to build on past cooperation between the stakeholders and to lay the path for a regional network and further activities on sustainable mobility and tourism in the region Ulm/Neu-Ulm.

Furthermore, representatives from the tourism and mobility sector discussed the common standards that provide the basis for the establishment of a transnational network. In addition to that, participants had the possibility to discuss and assess the scope of services to be addressed by the mobility manager in Ulm/Neu-Ulm that will start working in autumn 2017.

The regional workshop is part of a workshop series on several project activities that will be implemented during the project lifetime. The next workshop will be held in autumn 2017.
