DANOVA project was selected to be a part of the upcoming Interreg podcast series „This is Europe - Stories of collaboration and cooperation from across the European Union, brought to you by the Interreg community“. This podcast aims to show the active role of Interreg transnational programs in realizing the current European agenda.
To record the podcast presenting the DANOVA project, Dubrovnik reporter Ivan Jakić joined Bruno Tot, Mladena Funtek, and Hrvoje Spremić on a public transport journey from Dubrovnik Airport to the Hotel Palace. Bruno, who is the accessibility expert in Croatian Blind Union, pointed out the accessibility issues he faces while traveling with the long white cane and suggestions for possible solutions.
As an orientation and mobility specialist for Croatian Blind Union, Mladena spoke about the way blind and partially sighted persons navigate their environment independently. Hrvoje Spremić, the lead project manager of the DANOVA project, explained the results of the accessibility assessment for Dubrovnik Airport and what improvements will be implemented in the final stage of the project.
