Citizen's summary to Annual Implementation Report 2020

21-12-2021

Looking back, 2020 was a very challenging year for transnational cooperation. Border closures and movement restrictions due to COVID-19 pandemic have had a great impact on many ongoing or planned activities. But in spite of all challenges, our projects managed to find ways to advance their transnational work and deliver innovations and other valuable results.

Next to successfully closing several calls for proposals launched in previous years, on a programme level we managed to financially close 85 projects as well as to approve 35 new cooperation projects. The Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat has taken several measures in response to the pandemic situation and the work continued on the programming process for the upcoming 2021 - 2027 period.
