NewGenerationSkills - Synergy workshop: Research – Innovation – Knowledge Society

18-05-2017

NewGenerationSkills project participated at an international workshop connected to “Innovative and Socially Responsible Danube Region” synergy in the framework of the cross-over capitalization process (launched by the Danube Transnational Programme among all projects).

With the attendance of more DTP projects an international workshop called “Danube Region synergy workshop: Research – Innovation – Knowledge Society” was hosted in Vienna, Austria. It was organised by the Danube-INCO.NET project and two DTP funded ones (ResInfra@DR and Excellence-in-ReSTI). Our NewGenerationSkills project was also invited and were represented by "akzente" (center for equality and regional cooperation) and Nowa Training Counselling Project Management at this conference. (DANUBE-INCO.NET is a project funded by the 7th Framework Programme aimed at advancing research and innovation in the Danube region.)

The workshop invited among others the newly funded DTP projects from the first call with the ultimate aim to provoke an exchange of views amongst the projects at this early stage. With a focus on Priority Area 1 “Innovative and Socially Responsible Danube Region” synergies for cooperation among the projects are different and can be identified jointly.

The “Danube Region synergy workshop: Research – Innovation – Knowledge Society” was a good opportunity to get an insight in the current results of existing initiatives and challenges addressed by the newly funded projects and would help to identify synergies with other initiatives or projects. As a secondary goal the insight in starting projects could provide a background for the development of new project ideas and networks. The event was also a starting point to establish functioning networks beyond the existing partnerships and to identify synergies among projects.
