Due to COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 many patients, including patients with celiac disease, faced difficulties in accessing health care professionals.

Children’s Hospital Zagreb in cooperation with CeliVita – Living with celiac disease developed a questionnaire for Croatian patients with celiac disease inquiring about their experiences in accessing gastroenterology office for regular check-ups and whether their appointments were cancelled or whether they had visited the doctor in the office or performed the check-up by e-mail or by telephone call. We also asked patients for their opinion on the use of telemedicine options in the future.

CeliVita will distribute the questionnaire to its members and to other patient organizations.

The results of the inquiry will provide the ground for the decisions on developing telemedicine solutions.
