ISTER - German ISTER Partners Meet for 1st Planning Session

27-01-2021

The German partners of the ISTER project – PP10 Regional Planning Authority of East Wuerttemberg and PP11 pakora.net –had an online meeting on the 4th of November to discuss activities during the 1st project period.

The first topic the partners discussed was the First Level Finance Control. The partners chose and assigned the same controller in October for the obvious synergy effects, but details still need to be settled when the 1st first-level-control in January 2021 nears. Relating to this, the partners also discussed personal staff cost reimbursement mechanisms.

The partners also discussed the reporting process in the eMS system. PP11 brought up the deadline to open a personal account in the eMS. After all eMS IDs are registered in the general database, the project lead-partner will ensure full access to the reporting system.

As the main activities of PP11 will be realised in 2021 and 2022, PP10 briefly reported about the tasks carried out thus far.  In work package 1 „Baseline screening and policy framework“, an important Roman infrastructure inventory was conducted as regards already known and mostly well conserved Roman monuments and those only registered or presumed (for instance Roman routes). Moreover, an overview of current development and protection policies in relation to ancient Roman heritage was developed and complemented with three best practices from the region of East Wuerttemberg. In work package 2 „Joining, activating & tutoring (stakeholders)“, the first part of a stakeholder database was prepared which includes the most important institutions and decision makers in East Wuerttemberg to be involved in the activities to come.

The partners decided to hold another online meeting before the end of 2020 together with the German strategic and associated partners (The German Limes Road Association and State Office for Cultural Heritage Baden-Württemberg). This will take place on the 2nd of December.
