DANURB+ AT ROCK OPEN KNOWLEDGE WEEK

DANUrB+ participated in the ROCK Open Knowledge Week, “Cultural Heritage Leading Urban Futures” that was held online in October 2020. The event gathered over 400 participants on topics that are central to DANUrB+, and the project was featured as a sister in the virtual exhibition area.

DANUrB+ participated as a sister project exhibitor in the ROCK Open Knowledge Week “Cultural Heritage Leading Urban Futures”, a virtual conference for city officers, policy-makers, urban researchers, cultural actors and civic changemakers.

This digital event marked the closure of ROCK, a project funded by the EU Horizon 2020 programme and led by the City of Bologna, engaging 33 partners across 13 countries in exploring how cultural heritage can be the driving force behind urban sustainability.

Urbanity, cultural heritage… Those topics are at the very center of DANUrB+, an Danube Transnational Programme project that aims to reactivate underused cultural heritage and resources in shrinking settlements of Danube river’s peripheral and border regions, and create new possibilities to make its towns and regions attractive again.

DANUrB+ virtual booth on the ROCK exhibition included a description of the project, a video that was filmed previous the previous project DANUrB, and a link to the project website.

DANUrB+ communication leader, National Tourism Cluster “Bulgarian Guide” presented the project during the exhibition week.

Over the four days of the event, ROCK registered:
