Danube SKILLS - NATIONAL WORKSHOP, BELGRADE, SERBIA, MAY 8TH 2017

National workshop in Serbia was held on May 8th, 2017 in Belgrade at the Zira Hotel and was organised by School for shipping, shipbuilding and hydrobuilding (SBBH).

There were 50 key stakeholders present: representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Institute for the improvement of education, GIZ organisation – German organisation for International Cooperation, Centre for Education Policy, Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Association of Professional Boatmen, shipping companies, the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering in Belgrade, Transport and Traffic High School “Pinki” of Novi Sad, students and teachers at SBBH.

Danube SKILLS project was presented to the participants and various stands and conclusions related to readiness of the state administration, educational institutions and shipping companies for the implementation of the new EU Directive on recognition of professional qualifications in inland transport sector were summed up.

 

The workshop has also found support in the project “Youth employment promotion”, implemented by the German-Serbian development cooperation led by GIZ in Serbia under the auspices of the national dialogue “Mutual vision - youth employment promotion”.
