On the occasion of Children's Week a lecture about celiac disease and gluten free diet was held in the elementary school in Belgrade on Friday, October 9th 2020. Eighth grade students had the opportunity to attend a lecture about celiac disease organized by the Association of Serbia for Celiac Disease in the frame of CD SKILLS project. Students were introduced to new terms - celiac disease, gluten, gluten-free products and with crossed grain symbol. The guest speaker was the eighth-grade student who is a celiac disease patient, a boy presented his personal story and everyday life challenges he (and celiac disease patients) is facing every day. They have learned that life’s most difficult challenges can be overcome.
