LP of the project hosted the 1st Steering committee meeting on September 28th and 29th. This time, unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the meeting was organized on-line and not in person as we are used to.

On the first Steering Committee Meeting for the MELIA Observatory project, the focus of the discussion was on the work on thematic Work Packages.

Within the first short presentation of Partner organizations, the following topics were outlined: project overview and objectives, partners’ responsibilities, financial issues and obligations.

The second day of the 1st Steering Committee emphasized the substantive part of the project, such as mapping the media Literacy in the Danube Region, development of the observatory interface, media literacy training networks, Observatory’s pilots, the importance of communication among project partners, target groups and stakeholders. The final discussion tackled the preparation of the Kick-off meeting, which will take place on 22nd October 2020, as one of the most important resounding events in the life of the MELIA Observatory project.
