BULGARIA - Public workshop on the contents of the new proposed EU Directive on recognition of professional qualifications in inland navigation

On April 19th 2017 Bulgaria held its national workshop attended by all major stakeholders representing education and training centres, vocational schools, administrations, regulatory bodies, transport operators and inland associations: High River Shipping School – Ruse, Ruse University, Technical  University of Varna, "N.Y.Vaptsarov"   Naval Academy - Varna, "Scipper Consult" LTD, Seaman's Centre LTD – Ruse,  the transport operator "Rubiships" - Ltd., the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, the National Agency for Vocational Education and Training, the Executive Agency for Exploration and Maintenance of the Danube River, the Bulgarian Danube Chamber, the Danube river cluster

Feedback received in the questionnaires filled out by participants and the personal opinions expressed during the discussions which followed presentation of Danube SKILLS and of the new EU Directive revealed their high interest in the project itself and their hope that Danube SKILLS will consistently contribute to the adoption of the new EU Directive in Bulgaria.
