On 28 March 2017, South-East Regional Development Agency (SE RDA), as partner of „Transdanube.Pearls” project  – „Network for Sustainable Mobility along the Danube”, organized at Tulcea, the first stakeholder event.

The event was attended by the 20 relevant stakeholders in the field of sustainable mobility and tourism: representatives of the local public administration, Tulcea  County Council, Tulcea Municipality, Danube Delta National Institute for Research and Development, „Ivan Patzaichin – Mila 23” Association, Danube Delta Biosphere Administration, NGOs in the field of promotion of sustainable mobility.

The following topics were discussed during the meeting:

• familiarize the participants with the Transdanube.Pearls project  (presentation of the overall and specific objectives, expected results and indicators);
• presentation of „ALPINE PEARLS” - success story;
• presentation of the strategic role of green transport systems in the urban and rural area of Danube Delta;
• Sustainable Mobility theme within strategic documents (Local Action Plan in the field of Urban Mobility, Integrated Sustainable Development Strategy of Danube Delta);
• presentation of Eurovelo 6 connectivity in Tulcea County.

The event was focused on the identification of common standards and sustainable tourism and mobility certifications from Danube Delta, necessary for the elaboration of common standards for establishing the Transdanube.Pearls Network on sustainable mobility. 

A press conference was also organized during the event.
