InnoSchool - Serious Game updates

What is a Serious Game?

A serious game is a game designed for a primary purpose other than pure entertainment [1]. Serious games are a subgenre of serious storytelling, where storytelling is applied "outside the context of entertainment, where the narration progresses as a sequence of patterns impressive in quality ... and is part of a thoughtful progress" [3]. In these games, the user is given tasks and missions that they can only solve with the knowledge that they will gradually discover during the game. The theoretical aspects of the game are always taught in small quantities, at the right time, to be able to solve the next task and thus test the theoretical approaches in practice.

The InnoSchool Serious Game

Our game is designed to follow the same specifications and teach high school students the ins and outs of social entrepreneurship. Using the game, the students will be able to learn about the six social needs, understand and apply the concepts of social entrepreneurship and building a business today. Using gamification aspects, students will be motivated to set goals and achieve them, meanwhile gathering relevant information and applying it to real life scenarios.
