The main aim of the project, which ends on 30 September, is to support the local embedding of highlighted research and development infrastructures and exploit their economic potentials.
The main aim of the RI2integrate project of Danube Transnational Programme, which started on 1 January 2017 and ends on 30 September 2019, is to support the local embedding of highlighted research and development infrastructures and exploit their economic potentials. The partnership seeks to achieve this aim with three main tools and the connected pilot activities: the public procurement of innovation targets the public sector, the target of science parks are small and medium sized companies, while the awareness-raising activity primarily targets the more effective reach of university and high-school students.
Ten partners take part in the implementation of the project, led by ELI-HU Nonprofit Ltd. that operates the ELI-ALPS laser research center. The partners are from Romania, Czech Republic, Austria, Serbia and Slovenia. Hungary is represented – besides the lead partner – by the Central Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency Nonprofit Ltd. from Székesfehérvár.
As a closing of the project, an international conference took place on 3 September 2019 at Spoon the Boat, where the interested participants could listen to presentations about the national and international potentials of the research infrastructures’ better utilization.
The president of the National Research, Development and Innovation Office, Dr. István Szabó held the opening presentation. The speakers of the day spook about the national and European experiences, and the project partnership introduced the results of the project implementation.
In the afternoon of the closing event, the hosts organised a study visit to Agroverzum Centre of Science and Fun in the park of the Brunszvik castle in Martonvásár.
