As ECO KARST project is coming to an end, a press conference and PBB award ceremony was held in Žumberak-Samoborsko gorje Nature park. The event was a part of the whole-day programme organized to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Žumberak-Samoborsko gorje Nature park, which gathered around 70 participants.

The event started by presenting the results achieved during the ECO KARST project. 

The presentation was followed by the PBB award ceremony, during which the top 3 entrepreneurs dealing with Pro Biodiversity business were awarded. The entrepreneurs shortly presented their core business and contribution to the sustainable development of the region. The ceremony was closed by screening the ECO KARST short movie, that won the First prize within the Interreg Danube Transnational Programme Video Competition. A short press conference was also held, attended by the journalist of HRT (national television) and TV Trend.

All participants enjoyed in the traditional Žumberak food and a birthday cake. Together they walked through the Lane of knights and the youngest searched for a hidden treasure, ending the day riding electric bicycles following the route: Budinjak - Mrzlo Polje – Gornja Vas – Budinjak.

Local Pro Biodiversity entrepreneurs (Denis Balić, Danijela Polović and Melita Vrbanek) presented their businesses and their agricultural products while participants enjoyed in tasting.
