Amazon of Europe Bike Trail - Meet the Project Partners - WWF Adria (Croatia)

26-04-2019

Learning from nature, we understand the truth behind the strength in numbers. At WWF, we dream of a world where people and nature thrive and we know that the dream is possible, but only if we work together.

With teams of experts working in more than 100 countries around the world, WWF strives to protect the nature that sustains and inspires us – our rivers, oceans, forests, climate and wildlife. However, our work would be impossible without the numerous supporters all over the globe, communities, companies, and governments, sharing our passion for creating real solutions for us and our planet.

We care for the living planet, our main purpose is to stop the degradation of the world's natural environment and to build a future where people can live in harmony with nature by:

  • Conserving the world’s biological diversity
  • Ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable
  • Promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption

WWF Adria was founded in 2015 and works actively in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia. We are a team of around 50 dedicated and motivated individuals working as one great team of pandas all over the region on the protection of the natural environment and biodiversity.

Within the Amazon of Europe Bike Trail project we are looking for ways of providing benefits to nature along the Mura, Drava, and the Danube rivers from the establishment of a bike route along the Amazon of Europe. The project is a great example how sustainable development can have a positive impact for both nature and people. By working together, this goal is possible!
