RADAR - OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF RADAR ROAD SAFETY INFRASTRUCTURE TRAINING IN SLOVENIA

25-03-2019

“The fact is that 100 people will die every year on the roads. At the global level, this amounts to 15 million.”

Traffic safety is usually considered through three factors: human, vehicle and road. Human traffic behaviour and the condition of the vehicle are very often the primary cause of traffic accidents. The road, on the other hand, can with its appearance show the driver potential hazards and thus prevent the occurrence of a road accident. It can with its protective elements (fences, unpaved shoulder, etc.) significantly mitigate the consequences when the accidents occur.

Within the framework of the RADAR project, Automobile and Motorcycle Association of Slovenia (AMZS) has launched a three-day training of engineers, road designers, other experts involved in roads and traffic, licensed road safety auditors, as well as representatives of road authorities, who are responsible for road design, management and maintenance.

The first two days day of the RADAR Road Safety Infrastructure Training in Slovenia has been successfully accepted by no less than 100 road designers, experts, and road safety auditors.

RADAR Road Safety Training acknowledged by the Slovenian Chamber of Engineers

The 3-day road safety training courses have been acknowledged by the Slovenian Chamber of Engineers ‘IZS’, for licensed engineers in the process of renewing their IZS licenses, gaining 2 credit points for each day of participation. IZS licensed engineers are requested to attend continuous education through professional programs, seminars and training.
