DANUrB - DANUrB Kick-Off Event and 1st Partners' Meeting in Budapest, Hungary_15-17 February 2017

The kick-off event and first partner´s meeting of the interregional project “DANUrB” - DANube Urban Brand, co-financed by the Interreg Danube Transnational Program 2014-2020, took place in Budapest, 15-17 February 2017, and gathered more than 150 representatives from 7 Danube countries.
The first day started with a grand opening which was symbolically held on the boat A38 on the Danube River. The introduction was followed by a welcome speech by János Józsa, Rector of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). Next the project leader, Bálint Kádár, presented the project objectives and lead partner project team. In the following sessions all project partners introduced themselves and explained their role in the project. The evening was closed with the Pecha Kucha Night event that attracted about 250 people.
During the following day the internal scientific research workshops and discussions related to the implementation of the project were hosted by BME.
The third day was dedicated to training sessions, a discussion on research methodology and the Steering Committee (SCOM) meeting. While the first training session focused on project and financial managers, the other one gave communication managers a thorough account of what needs to be done in order to achieve maximum efficiency. The parallel discussion about research methodology gathered the representatives of universities and research institutions. Finally, the SCOM meeting wrapped up the 3-day Kick-off event and 1st partner meeting of the Danube Transnational Programme 's DANUrB project.
