We have opened a technological one-stop-shop for rapid prototyping in the centre of Liberec on the 19th of February.DEXIC µFabLab is a modern one-stop-shop for young people interested in 3D print, PCB, IoT or robotization.

 

Opening of the DEXIC µFabLab

More than 40 technological enthusiasts and representatives of public administration came to Regional scientific library in Liberec. After the short welcome speech, Vojtech Jira (DEX Innovation Centre) introduced the concept of DEXIC µFabLab, the equipment and target groups.

Three guest speakers have motivated visitors during the opening event. The first one was Alan Fabik with his IoT kit BigClown, who spoke about his very beginnings of a digital business. The second speaker and the constructor of robot Matylda, Michal Seidl, he acknowledged the audition how Matylda was born and how she started her hitch-hike through the Czech Republic. Vladimir Huda with his project EASYmap was talking about drone usage and terrain mapping.

DEXIC µFabLab

You can find in right next to Regional scientific library in Liberec and at this time, the one-stop-shop offers an educational programme for secondary school and university students. The programme will boost digital and entrepreneurial skills in 8 modules.

After the first educational programme ends, DEXIC µFabLab will be opened to students, startups and SME's. 

 

Equipment

The very first visitors of our one-stop-shop had a chance to have a look at two 3D printers from Prusa, well-known Czech 3D manufacturer; printer Sinterit Lisa for SLS print of functional prototypes; PCB printer Voltera V-one, Arduino IoT kits and many other.
