NETWORLD - New Maps with WWI Related Places for Tourist Guides

Varna Economic Development Agency (VEDA) and Regional Museum of History - Dobrich have studied WWI cultural heritage in North Bulgaria with the support of DTP NETWORLD project.  The Bulgarian partners produced two brochures –maps with new touristic routs to WWI cultural heritage, related to the heroism of soldiers and officers, who died for the liberation of Dobrudzha.

The new brochures – maps, the project transnational brochure and other NETWORLD project results (the data-base, app, WoP brand, new investments, etc.), were presented by VEDA director   to the members of the Union of Bulgarian Tourist Guides on 8th of February, 2019 at Varna Archaeological Museum. It is one of the largest museums in the country and houses the oldest worth gold in the world.

Ms. Ralitsa Zhekova  - Associated Professor from Varna Economic University  and a team leader of project DTP2-048-1.2. Women in Business, Fostering the Young Women Entrepreneurship in the Danube Region, was a guest of the meeting. She  welcome and encouraged the Union’s members – most of which are women, to benefit from the two projects and the DTP 3rd Call for proposals.

All members of the Union of Bulgarian Tourist Guides have received   a copy of the maps and NETWORLD project transnational brochure.
