NETWORLD - Concert of Peace in Drežnica, Slovenia

On 11th November 1918 the bells of majestic Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus in Drežnica announced the end of the First World War. It meant indescribable happiness and gratefulness among the people, who came through it safe; enormous pain in all those, who were fighting on the battlefieldsfields or lost their loved ones, and it brought a hope that the war will never happen again. 

The Concert of Peace in Drežnica on 11th November 2018  was the final event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, where the honorary patron was the President of the Republic of Slovenia. The event offered a wide cultural programme by domestic choirs from The Soča Valley and from Ljubljana. The official speaker was the Minister of Culture Dejan Prešiček. The event was organized by Soča Valley Development Centre, The Walk of Peace Foundation, Municipality Kobarid and Public Fund for Cultural Activities of the Republic of Slovenia (unit Tolmin).

The event was co-financed by NETWORLD project, funded by the ERDF and IPA.
