During the 16th and 20th of October 2018, the main square in Nova Gorica, Slovenia, held an event called »Mission of Peace« organized by Soča Valley Development Centre (LP) in cooperation with Foundation Walk of Peace (ERDP PP1) and Municipality of Nova Gorica.

The escape room was one of several activities of European project NETWORLD - Networking in preserving the First World War multicultural heritage in the Danube counties co-financed by European Union fund ERDF and IPA.

Mobile building in the shape of the church contained WWI items, was thoughtfully designed and built by Hungarian project partner Cultural LAB Social Cooperative LABOR from Pécs.

At the beginning of this interesting game, participants caught a train, which took them back to the year of 1918 and drove them straight to battlefields. On their way out, players needed to search for any trace after the missing soldier J.P., which led them out from battlefields, hospital room and out from the prison.

Authors accomplished a very difficult task and attract younger generations, meanwhile, raised their awareness of the First World War and gave a note to the public that Peace cannot be taken for granted.

The event was very successful and had received a huge positive response. Very well was presented also in Slovenian medias, because on the opening day press conference was organised. In total, there were 315 participants, who acquainted life of soldier Joseph Pax and escape back to 1918.
