A representative of RO-TUCN participated in 5-6 November 2018 at the National Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, that took place at the Palace of Parliament of Bucharest by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Deputy Minister for European Affairs and the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration. The event took place because of the takeover of the EUSDR Presidency by Romania.

The EUSDR National Forum represented a framework for debates with the main objective to set the priorities and lines of action of Romania in the process of implementing the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region at national, macroregional and European level. The Opening Session of the EUSDR National Forum marked the official launch of the Romanian Presidency of the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region, a mandate that he will execute between 1 November 2018 and 31 October 2019.
