Danube GeoTour - Successful extra meeting in Croatia from 26th – 28th November 2018

Interreg Danube GeoTour Project meeting in Papuk UNESCO Global Geopark

 
 

The Papuk UNESCO Global Geopark in Croatia had the chance to welcome the Danube GeoTour project partners from 8 countries. The subtitle shows the goal and the challenge which the partners are facing: »Valorisation of geo-heritage for sustainable and innovative tourism development of Danube Geoparks« The project is co-funded by European Union funds (ERDF, IPA).

During the two days in Croatia the partners discussed the development of their GeoProducts and the Danube GeoTour promotional campaign for the last period in 2019. The partners discussed also the promotion of Geoparks at the international tourism fair (ITB) in Berlin, Germany. In addition, a field trip through the Geosites at Jankovac took place on the second day to discuss GeoInterpretation according to best practice examples. In conclusion, every partner was satisfied concerning the successful meeting and is looking forward to the last project period. The project team just would add many thanks to the organizers from Papuk UNESCO Global Geopark including all their involved helpers and partners.
