Bratislava Self-Governing Region informed stakeholders about the current status in the project Transdanube.Pearls

On 17th October, Bratislava Self-Governing Region organized a seminar for relevant stakeholders on the activities of the Transdanube.Pearls project. The participants were representatives of villages and cities of the region, Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic, Bratislava Region Tourism, transport organisations as Slovak Railways and NGOs.

Main topics were the three feasibility studies elaborated in the course of the project, namely:

1. the study for bike parking places
2. the study for a bike rental system
3. and the study for cycling paths along the railway tracks

All three studies ought to lead to a better use of sustainable means of transport and better accessibility of touristic interesting places in the region that are currently not easily accessible. An interesting discussion about bike rental systems in the region showed the need and interest in using this kind of transport system.
