MOVECO - On the road & getting in touch with people!

These are exciting and dynamic times for the MOVECO project: In order to promote and foster the circular economy in the Danube region, we are on the road and getting in touch with people across the Danube region countries. The goal is to pilote our circular economy toolbox. This article shortly presents recent activities from the German MOVECO partners the Cluster of Environmental Technology Bavaria and the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR).
Congress on sustainable building and construction in Essen
On 16 October 2018, a congress in Essen took place on sustainable building and recycling in the construction industry. The all-day event bundled political, social, economic and ecological as well as planning-technical aspects of a deliberately waste avoidance strategy within the construction industry.
The project MOVECO, dedicated to the circular economy, was invited to present its recently launched platform www.danube-goes-circular.eu with its marketplace that allows industrial symbiosis by exchanging secondary products and raw materials.
The Congress on Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy in Baden-Wurttemberg
On 17 and 18 October 2018, the Congress on Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy took place in Karlsruhe (Germany). The German MOVECO partners the Cluster of Environmental Technology Bavaria and the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) presented the project, the toolbox and ongoing activities to the visitors with a MOVECO booth. Being one of the largest events on circular economy in Southern Germany, it was a good opportunity to get in touch with key stakeholders - including the Interreg Alpine Space partner from the project GREENCYCLE.
The Cluster Day in Nuremberg on the future of plastics
On 23 October 2018 the Cluster Day of the MOVECO partner Cluster of Environmental Technology Bavaria took place in Nuremberg, Germany. The topic of the event was the future of plastics from the point of view of the complete life-cycle. Future challenges were made a subject of discussions and which solutions could be provided by the environmental technology from Bavaria and Germany.
